Pied shield bug

Pied shield bug (Tritomegas bicolor) belongs to the burrowing bugs (Cydnidae). This bug grows to + 6 mm in size, is black with irregular white spots and is found throughout Europe.
The pied shield bug lives on dead-nettles (Lamium)(host plant).
The nymphs have a somewhat bulbous shape and the spots are still stripes.
The Rambur’s Pied Shieldbug (Tritomegas sexmaculatus) is very similar to the Pied shield bug; it has the Black horehound (Ballota nigra) as its host plant.
