Scrambled egg slime (Fuligo septica) is a slime mold and can move. In the process, a crawling trail, similar to that of a snail, can be seen. The spongy fungus is mostly yellow, usually shaped like a pillow and does not grow much thicker than 3 cm.
The slime mold lives on dead wood and multiplies through spores. The slime mold thrives best in warm and humid weather.

- Worldwide – often on bark mulch in urban areas after heavy rain.

Scrambled egg slime causes no harm; control unnecessary.
