Blue mint beetle (Chrysolina coerulans). This +8 mm beetle belongs to the leaf beetles (Chrysomelidae) and lives on and from mint. The blue mint beetle is a striking sight with its steel-colored predominantly blue wing cases (elytra). The beetle is native to north-west Europe. They can cause a lot of damage to various plant species of mint (Mentha) and tansies (Tanacetum).
In small numbers, they can do little harm.

Control
Catch away by hand. Hold a bucket under the plants and shake the plants: the beetles are startled and drop into the bucket.
